Premier Vehicle Inspections – Full Disclaimer & Legal Provisions

IMPORTANT NOTICE – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Premier Vehicle Inspections provides pre-purchase vehicle inspections only. The inspector is licensed under the NSW Authorised Inspection Scheme (AIS). We do not issue roadworthy or registration certificates, including:

  • eSafety Checks (Pink Slips)
  • AUVIS (Blue Slips)
  • This is a visual, non-mechanical inspection conducted using accepted industry methods.
  • No components will be dismantled, removed, or disassembled.
  • The inspection is limited to a visual assessment of the vehicle’s condition at the time of inspection.
  • It is not a mechanical diagnosis, roadworthy certificate, valuation, or guarantee of future performance.

  • Limitations
  • Road tests are limited and may not reveal all mechanical, drivetrain, or performance faults.
  • Hidden, internal, intermittent, or developing defects may not be detected.
  • Standard 12V batteries are not load-tested.
  • EV and hybrid battery systems require specialised diagnostic equipment and are not assessed as part of this inspection.
  • The inspection is visual only. Mechanical, electrical, or component failure may occur after the inspection, even where no faults were observed.
  • Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), automated driving features, autonomous systems, self-parking systems, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance systems, and similar technologies are not tested or assessed.
  • Any system that does not allow the inspector to maintain full manual control of the vehicle is excluded from testing.
  • Airbag systems are not tested or deployed.
  • Manufacturer recalls are not checked, including Takata airbag recalls. Clients are advised to independently check recall status at https://ismyairbagsafe.com.au/.
  • Road tests are limited to the surrounding area and are subject to speed limits, traffic, weather conditions, and safety considerations.
  • Vehicles assessed as unsafe or unroadworthy will not be road tested.
  • Unregistered vehicles will not be road tested unless valid trade plates are provided.
  • The inspection is limited by access, weather conditions, vehicle cleanliness, and seller cooperation.
  • Areas not accessible or visible at the time of inspection are excluded from assessment.
  • Premier Vehicle Inspections reserves the right to limit, modify, or cease an inspection where conditions are unsafe or access is restricted.
  • No liability is accepted for components not inspected due to safety concerns, refusal of access, locked vehicles, or unsafe conditions.
  • The scope and extent of the inspection is determined at the sole discretion of the inspector based on safety, access, and practical limitations.
  • Photographs included in the inspection report are representative only and do not document every defect, component, or condition of the vehicle.
  • Vehicle condition may change immediately after inspection due to use, storage, transport, or environmental factors.
  • The inspection report reflects the vehicle’s condition only at the date and time of inspection.
  • Full payment is required to secure your inspection booking.
  • Requested dates and times are not confirmed until payment is received.
  • Once payment is received, a qualified inspector will contact the seller within 24–48 hours to arrange the inspection.
  • Cancellations:
    • More than 24 hours before the scheduled inspection: full refund or transfer.
    • Within 24 hours: $100 cancellation fee.
  • Once the inspection has commenced or is completed, the booking is non-refundable.
  • Inspection prices may vary depending on vehicle location, including bookings outside Sydney.
  • Premier Vehicle Inspections reserves the right to update or amend pricing and policies at any time. The policy in effect at the time of booking confirmation will apply.
  • Inspection times are approximate.
  • Premier Vehicle Inspections will make every reasonable effort to attend at the agreed time.
  • Inspector delays may occur due to traffic, prior inspections, or unforeseen circumstances. No liability is accepted for inconvenience, loss, or consequential effects arising from delayed arrival.
  • If the client is more than 30 minutes late, Premier Vehicle Inspections reserves the right to cancel or shorten the inspection at its discretion, without refund.
  • The inspection report is provided for informational purposes only.
  • It represents the vehicle’s observable condition at the time of inspection.
  • It must not be relied upon as a guarantee, valuation, or warranty.
  • It is not a recommendation to purchase or reject the vehicle.
  • Purchase decisions should not be based solely on this report.
  • Premier Vehicle Inspections does not provide reports for insurance claims, tribunal proceedings, court matters, accident causation, or mechanical diagnostics.
  • Tribunal matters require licensed mechanical workshops or forensic assessors with diagnostic and expert witness capability, which is outside the scope of this service.
  • Where a PPSR or third-party vehicle history report is used, Premier Vehicle Inspections does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness.
  • Buyers should independently review and assess any PPSR or history report findings.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights available under Australian Consumer Law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Premier Vehicle Inspections and its inspectors are not liable for:

  • Defects or faults not visible at the time of inspection;
  • Mechanical, electrical, or component failure occurring after the inspection;
  • Hidden, internal, intermittent, or developing defects;
  • Damage or failure occurring during inspection due to pre-existing wear, corrosion, fatigue, or aged components;
  • The outcome of any negotiation, sale, or transaction involving the vehicle;
  • Disputes between buyers, sellers, or third parties;
  • Financial or consequential losses, including loss of use, profit, business interruption, or data;
  • The accuracy or completeness of third-party information relied upon during the inspection;
  • Any reliance placed on the inspection report beyond what is reasonable for a visual inspection.
  • Total liability, if any, is strictly limited to the amount paid for the inspection service.

The inspection is carried out with reasonable care and in accordance with industry practice. Premier Vehicle Inspections is not responsible for any damage, malfunction, or failure occurring during or after the inspection where such damage results from:

  • Pre-existing wear, defects, corrosion, fatigue, or poor repairs;
  • Normal operation of the vehicle during inspection or road testing;
  • Failure of aged, brittle, or previously damaged components;
  • Actions or instructions given by the seller or owner;
  • Vehicle systems failing when operated as intended.
  • The client and vehicle owner acknowledge that older or poorly maintained vehicles may experience component failure during normal inspection procedures.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to verify that the vehicle meets their personal requirements. Buyers are encouraged to:

  • Conduct their own inspection
  • Review PPSR or vehicle history reports
  • Obtain further mechanical or specialist assessments
  • Confirm repairs or structural work have been properly completed

This inspection and report are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes shall be subject to NSW jurisdiction.
